Abstract

This paper is about the study of Digit vigilance Test (i.e., to measure sustained attention) between Adolescent and Middle Adulthood. The main objectives of the present study is “ to find out the descriptive statistics of time score in second and error mean of sustained attention between adolescence and middle adulthood; to compare the significance difference of time score in second and error score of sustained attention between adolescence and middle adulthood; to compare the mean bar diagram of time score in second and error score of sustained attention between adolescence and middle adulthood. Trying to fulfill these objectives, the investigators randomly selected sixty four participants from the normal Mizo population of Adolescents (35 sample) and middle adulthood (29 sample). Results are evaluated by mean, standard deviation, one way of analysis, and mean bar diagram of both participants on digit vigilance Test (i.e., to measure sustained attention). The results has indicated that measures of time scores in second between adolescence and middle adulthood are found to be statistically significant. It has also indicated that error score between adolescence and middle adulthood are found to be insignificant. From the bar diagram, middle adulthood has found more mean value in the time score in second and error score than the adolescence.
