Abstract


This is a survey paper on the development of a robotic arm . This paper gives a technical introduction to the recent research in this field. It is a working research in which there are number of problems and a wide area of exploration. Nowadays, different varieties of robotic arms are available. Some are excellent in areas such as accuracy and repeatability. In this survey paper, we study about the evolution of robotic arm in last 20 years and learn different parameters of a robotic arm. The type of robotic arm depends on these parameters. This survey may be used for knowledge and guidelines for future research work. This paper concludes with gaps in research and proposed work. Robotic arms are used in different fields like a household, workplace, and working stations.
