Abstract

Law itself is such profession in which it is impossible to do a job without using the appropriate information. Information is essential for effective law enforcement. Today, the world is moving towards an information age where information has become a valuable resource. Information communication technologies have played a very important role in redesigning the legal profession. Computer technology enables departments and individuals dealing with the law enforcement storage and access to huge amounts of data. Inter alia this information includes incident reports,   descriptions of perpetrators, fingerprints, trial details etc. This paper will investigate at what degree the law offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) use the information communication technology (ICT) in order to obtain the necessary information and how satisfied they are with the opportunities that ICT provides.
