Localisation of the natural frequencies of a multi-span road bridge by applying a distribution algorithm

We propose to solve the free vibration motion’ equation in the distribution sense for each value of x to determine the frequencies and Eigen modes. The presented method makes it possible to avoid carrying out several integrations as the Rayleigh-Ritz method. The results obtained by the proposed method are very similar to those obtained by ANSYS; the error does not exceed 0.3%. The comparison of the results obtained with those of the bibliography shows a good agreement between the flexion’ modes, whereas the error becomes important for the modes of order 2 to the bridge width’ direction his is explained by applying beam boundary conditions across the width of the bridge while in our work we took the plate boundary conditions.
