How Corruption Affects Economic Development – Case Study Greece

This article discusses the impact of corruption to nations economic development in general and then the concrete evidence is demonstrated through case study of Greece’s economy. The following tools will be used to measure the corruption: Corruption Perception Index (CPI) and Control of Corruption (COC). CPI is currently the most widely used meter but COC will also be included because it covers some areas where CPI is unable to perform. The case country Greece was chosen for this study, because of it was within the countries, which foreign debt amount exceeded the crisis limit in the latest financial crisis.
