RESEARCH ON THE DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY OF ECOMMERCE IN AFRICA

Abstract


Ecommerce as anything that involved online transaction, E-commerce provides an easy way to sell products to a large customer base. It refers to all forms of commercial transactions that involve individuals and organizations based on the electronic data process. . However, there is a lot of competition among multiple e-commerce sites. When users land on an e-commerce site, they expect to find what they are looking for quickly and easily. Ecommerce provides multiples benefits to the consumers in form of availability of goods at a lower cost, wider choice and saves time. The general category of ecommerce can be broken down into two pieces E-merchandise and E-finance. Ecommerce involves conducting business using modern communication instrument as telephone, fax, e-payment, money transfer systems e-data interchange and the internet. This paper identifies the root causes of slow adoption of ecommerce in Africa and its development, also investigate on the growing of ecommerce in our African countries, and finding ways of lowering overall organization or companies in term of development of online shopping, transaction, cost and an enhancement of the companies’ value chain.
