Abstract: Environmental strategy is protecting and enhancing our natural resources. Development is not a product but it is a process that includes achievement of not only economic growth but also education, health and better environment. Sustainable development deals with the inter relationship between environment and economic development. And one of the major indicators of economic development is growth of industrial sector. This paper intends to explain interrelationship between environment and industrialisation, challenges of sustainable development, environmental protection strategies and policy recommendation for sustainable development. Multiple regression analysis indicates that, apart from industrial value added, trade, technology and economic reforms also emerge significant in determining environmental quality. The paper concludes that there is effective technology and basic education for environment problem and the sustainable development.
