A STUDY ON ROLE OF ORGANISATIONAL SCM FRAMEWORK AND EXPERIENCE IN SUPPLY CHAIN LEADERSHIP

Abstract


Supply chain management (SCM) is in the cross roads of business process and competitiveness. Institutional impetus into SCM concepts and framework are gaining momentum for a successful business strategy. Supply chain leadership as a result of combined effects of such institutional framework and SCM experience of operating executives would determine the supply chain leadership of an organization. This paper studied the elements of such framework and its effect of the SC leadership. The paper concludes that while the institutional framework has found its roots, the SCM experience has not contributed to significant SCM leadership due to various reasons.
