Assessment of Verbal Ability in Relation to Academic Achievement of Secondary Level Pupils

Abstract


Abstract: Cognitive skills are the core skills that the brain uses to think, read, learn, remember, reason, and pay attention Overall, the students showed positive attitude towards verbal ability. The overall positive ability towards academic achievement could be attributed to the application of reading learning strategy in the classrooms. This study found significant differences in academic achievement in relation to verbal ability with respect to gender, locality, medium of instruction and type of institution.
