The present study has explored the gender difference on occupational stress in reference to length of service among academicians. The objective of the study is to find out gender differences and length of service on occupational stress. The study further tries to make an in-depth investigation on different dimensions’ of occupational stress experienced by the academicians at the academic institutions. The data was collected on 120 (60 males and 60 females) academicians. Subjects were selected from academic Institutions of Dehradun using Stratified Random Sampling technique. The data was collected using Occupational Stress Index (OSI) (A K Srivastava and A P Singh, 1981). The mean, SD & F ratio’s results of the present study revealed a significant difference in occupational stress and length of service between both the genders.
